Match Preview: ADFA Rams vs ANU Griffins ANZAC Day Derby

This Saturday, the 29th of April 2023, the ADFA Rams host the ANU Griffins in their second annual ANZAC Day derby match at Manuka Oval.

The derby was developed to celebrate and commemorate veterans and current serving ADF members in a week of ANZAC Day celebrations.

The ADFA and ANU teams from the Men’s Division One and Two, as well as the Women’s Division One, will go head-to-head in a day of remembrance rather than winning.

The event is free to the general public, with gates opening at 8:00am, before the ANZAC service proceeding commencing at 9:00am.

The Women’s Division One will begin match play at 10:00am, followed by the Men’s Division Two at 12:00pm, and finishing off with the Men’s Division One at 2:00pm.

This match is in support of the ADFA Rams’ charity partner, ‘Soldier On’, which is Australia’s only national fully integrated and holistic support services provider for our defence personnel, contemporary veterans, and their families.

Given that this match is being played by defence personnel, it is a perfect opportunity to support an organisation that helps many Australian veterans.
