Ashcroft set to play 350 Club games
Tuggeranong Hawks’ stalwart, Peter Ashcroft is set to play his 350th game for the Club this weekend.
Ashcroft has been a great example of total commitment, effort, desire and passion throughout his 21 years of senior football. Pete made his debut in 1996 and since then has shown the results for his determination, dedication and hard work.
He made his First Grade debut in 2004 and has been a regular First Grade player ever since. Whether in the ruck or down back Peter always gives 100% to his team.
He captained the Hawks in 2014 during the transition year from NEAFL and led his First Grade side to the finals for the first time in many years. Pete is an integral member of the Hawks First Grade side in 2017.
Peter has always been very generous in giving his time to the Football Club and he is a great example to the many young and developing players in the Valley.
His eldest son, Connor made his First Grade debut as a 15 year old two weeks ago and it is a great achievement for Pete and his family.
In addition to playing, Peter is coaching the Hawks Under 15 side in 2017. He has coached/mentored that side for the past 3 years and to watch the development of the group is a great credit to Pete. The side has 6 players selected in the ACT Schoolboys team that travels to Perth in late –July for the national schoolboys championships.
Congratulations and well done Peter Ashcroft on playing 350 senior games –an amazing achievement.
