CareSuper stands with the AFL Canberra community through challenging times.

AFL Canberra is pleased to announce that CareSuper has extended its sponsorship of our Men’s and Women’s Rising Stars competitions, supporting grassroots football in the ACT. The award-winning Industry SuperFund is also a key partner of the ACT women’s representative program.

Julie Lander, CEO of CareSuper, said that the fund was pleased to continue its support for the AFL Canberra community, especially as the clubs have navigated and adapted to the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic.

“This year marks the fourth in our partnership with AFL Canberra, and we are proud to have had such a long-standing relationship with an organisation that shares our commitment to supporting Australians now and in the future,” Ms Lander said.

“With over 230,000 members across different age groups, sectors and professions, we know success looks different for everyone. That is why since 1986 we’ve worked hard to help our members achieve their own goals in life.”

“We’ve done this not only by delivering some of Australia’s best long-term returns, but also empowering our members to succeed with financial advice, education, insurance and by supporting important initiatives in our community. We are delighted to be continuing our support for the CareSuper Rising Stars as they work towards their goals off and on the field.”

Luke Martin, AFL/NSW Game Development Manager – ACT, is grateful for the continued support of CareSuper throughout the current challenging period and is looking forward to a long partnership between our two organisations.

“AFL in Canberra has been significantly impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic. Our game is facing the biggest challenge that it has seen in over 150 years of existence. The great thing about our game and the community is that we are resilient, we are supportive, and we will continue to move forward. We cannot thank CareSuper enough for their ongoing support of grassroots AFL and encourage all of our members to contact CareSuper for the essential advice and services that we all need as we navigate our way through these uncertain times.” Martin said.
