Canberra/Sydney rep game: Coaching panel announcement

AFL Sydney and AFL Canberra are pleased to advise the following key updates ahead of the much-anticipated Senior Men’s and Senior Women’s representative football matches to be played between a combined AFL Sydney & AFL Canberra team against Tasmania on Saturday, 20 July at UTAS Stadium (York Park), Launceston.

Players Selection Criteria:

To be eligible to represent AFL Sydney/AFL Canberra in the upcoming representative fixture vs Tasmania players must have:

1. An active registration with an AFL Sydney or AFL Canberra club for the 2024 season

2. Participated in a minimum of three matches in the 2024 AFL Sydney or AFL Canberra Season prior to the match vs Tasmania

Selection Committee and Process:

The Selection Committee will initially invite approximately 30 men and 30 women to join the squads. Following acceptances, further players may be invited to join the squads (as required).

The finalised squads for both representative teams will be published the week commencing Monday, 24 June.

The squads will then meet twice ahead of the matches against Tasmania with the final teams selected and published by Thursday, 18 July.

Live Coverage – Streaming

For those who cannot make it to UTAS Stadium (York Park), Launceston on Saturday, 20 July both matches will be live streamed with commentary via AFL Sydney streaming partner Streamer.
