AFL Canberra and The Canberra Times Partner Together to Boost Community Football

AFL Canberra announce new partnership with The Canberra Times

 

AFL Canberra and The Canberra Times (Australian Community Media (ACM)) are excited to announce a partnership. The partnership will see The Canberra Times become the official Community Football partner for AFL Canberra. The Partnership will also see The Canberra Times becoming Naming Rights Partner for the 2022 Community 3^rd and 4^th Grade Men’s Competitions, as well as the Canberra Times being the presenting partner of the 2022 Mulrooney, Bainrot and Community Awards Night.

 

ACM Chief Customer & Marketing Officer, Paul Tyrrell said “We are delighted to begin what we hope will be a long-term partnership with AFL Canberra. The job that the AFL does in getting our communities active has never been more important as we work our way out of COVID. ACM, publisher of the Canberra Times, looks forward to doing our bit to support AFL Canberra.”

 

Further Details of the groundbreaking partnership;

 

• 2022 3^rd and 4^th Grade Men’s competitions to be renamed “The Canberra Times 3^rd Grade Men’s”, and “The Canberra Times 4^th Grade Men’s”
• 2022 Senior Awards Night to be referred to as “2022 Mulrooney, Bainrot and Community Awards Night, proudly presented by The Canberra Times”
• The Canberra Times will provide chances for the Canberra Community to win ticket giveaways to GWS matches at Manuka Oval
• Weekly advertisements throughout the season in the printed newspaper, promoting the upcoming weekend of Community Football
• The Canberra Times to digitally advertise AFL Canberra throughout the 2022 season.

The Partnership between AFL Canberra and The Canberra Times will be in place from Round 1 of the 2022 AFL Canberra Season, which kicks off on Friday April 1.
