AFL Canberra Womens’ Rep Game Put on Ice
Unfortunately this weekend’s women’s representative game between AFL Canberra and AFL North East Border has been postponed until further notice.
Due to the current situation in Victoria and travel restrictions between states, the game will not go ahead as scheduled.
The game was going to take place at Robertson Oval in Wagga Wagga on Saturday but this is obviously no longer the case.
The contest will hopefully be revived at a later date and further information will come out in the weeks ahead.
It’s a cruel blow for the AFL Canberra girls who have been training for over a month and were raring to go.
With no local football scheduled on the Queen’s Birthday long weekend, our girls will have the week off before they go back and play for their respective clubs in SOCKIT2MND round on the 19th of June.
SOCKIT2MND Round (round 7)
Ainslie vs Queanbeyan, 3:45 Alan Ray Oval
Eastlake vs Belconnen, 3:45 EPC Solar Park (footy park)
Gungahlin vs Tuggeranong, 3:45 Gungahlin Enclosed Oval
