Football Park to host AFL Canberra Hall of Fame Function in 2019
Football Park will see host to the annual AFL Canberra Hall of Fame this Friday. Seven individuals will be celebrated for their outstanding contribution to Australian Football in Canberra.
Alan Ray (Three-time Ainslie Best & Fairest) will be inducted, along with the Joanne Foster (Vice Captain of the ACTW AFL Team of the Decade, 1998-2007), Brian Read (5 time AFL Canberra Representative) and four-time AFL Canberra premiership player Jason Gilbert.
AFL Canberra will also launch a special category of inductees known as Legends at the 2019 Hall of Fame Function. Keith Miller, Tony Wynd and Kevin ‘Cowboy’ Neale will be elevated to this status for their positive impact and on-going legacy to the code.
The AFL Canberra Hall of Fame was established in 2006 and serves to recognise players, coaches, umpires, administrators, and media representatives who have contributed significantly to the development of sport in the region.
The 2019 Hall of Fame Induction Function will be held at Football Park on Friday the 26th of July from 6.00pm to 8.00pm. Tickets are available from $35 per person. More information is available here.
