Umpire Appointments – Representative Round
This Saturday’s representative fixtures will not only see the best community football players Canberra has to offer with the League’s best umpires also being involved with the action
The 2019 AFL Canberra v AFL Riverina representative fixtures will see Tim O’Shea, Damian Hill and James Forwood officiate the Men’s game, whilst Daniel Wilcox and Aiden Fryer will facilitate the Women’s fixture
O’Shea, Hill and Forwood are recent additions to AFL Canberra coming from Wollongong, Townsville and Wagga Wagga respectively.
Meanwhile Wilcox and Fryer have been plying their trade for a number of years, with Wilcox originally coming from Tasmania and Fryer originally from Melbourne
Each panel is a mix of both the NEAFL talent pathway and the best community umpiring talent.
Joining the field umpires in the Men’s game will be Ian Edwards, Jacob Davill and Cameron Fidge on the boundary, whilst Rod Burns and Jerome Murillo will be in goals.
Ron Holden and Charlie Pettersen will run the boundary in the Women’s along side goal umpires Emma Loaney and Scott Crowley
AFL Canberra Senior Umpire Coach Murray Lembit is pleased with the efforts his representative umpires have made so far this season:
“The appointment of our umpires to Saturday`s Men`s & Women`s Representative fixtures is a great reward and testament to their performances early in the season”
We congratulate all of our representative umpires taking the field this Saturday.
