McVeigh and Nicks to present at AFL Canberra Coaching Forum

Matthew Nicks joined the GIANTS after eight years at Port Adelaide, where he has spent the last two seasons as senior assistant coach under Ken Hinkley.
The 43-year old was one of the inaugural participants in the AFL’s Level Four Coaching program, which was designed to prepare assistant coaches looking to take the next step to a senior coaching role in the AFL.
Prior to his coaching career, Nicks played 175 games for the Sydney Swans before retiring in 2005.
Mark McVeigh joined the GIANTS coaching staff after 12 months as Head Coach of the GIANTS Academy, identifying and developing local talent within the GIANTS’ region.
Since retiring from the AFL in 2012 after 232 games with Essendon, McVeigh has been part of the Seven Network and SEN radio commentary teams and previously worked with AFL NSW/ACT as Talent and Coaching Manager.
The workshop is open to all coaches (youth, junior and senior) wanting to enhance their coaching education in Season 2019.
