ANUAFC Seeking Coaches for 2018
The Australian National University Australian Football Club (ANUAFC) is seeking a Head Coach for the Senior Men’s AFL Canberra Third Grade team and Reserves Coach for AFL Canberra Fourth Grade team.
ANUAFC seeks candidates with prior experience playing or coaching Australian Rules football and a level one coaching certificate (or ability to obtain the certificate in season). ANUAFC offers modest remuneration, but principally seeks candidates that coach for the love of the game and will relish the opportunity to develop a playing group with a diverse range of ability. Player-coaches are welcome.
Training will be held Tuesday’s and Thursday’s from 6pm at South Oval on ANU Campus, with pre-season commencing in early January. All coaches will be supported by the Board, Coaching Coordinator, Football Manager, team physio and game-day volunteers.
Responsibilities include:
Head Coach: Reporting to the club Board; working with the club Coaching Coordinator as required; running comprehensive skills and fitness sessions; developing tactical strategies, individual player development and overall club culture; game-day coaching for the Division 3 team; and attendance at post-game functions.
Reserves Coach: Supporting the Head Coach; working with the club Coaching Coordinator as required, leading Division 4 training drills when playing squads split; game-day coaching for the Division 4 team; and attendance at post-game functions
