ActewAGL supporting junior football for 20 years

The 2017 ActewAGL AFL Canberra Junior Competition was officially launched this morning at Radford College with an exciting announcement from our long term junior partner, ActewAGL.

ActewAGL have been supporting local AFL in Canberra for 17 years, and today announced that they will be extending their support for a further three years.

“This agreement will take us to 20 years of involvement with the junior league here in Canberra,” ActewAGL Director of Marketing & Consumer Affairs, Paul Walshe said.

“It is fantastic to see the Youth Girls competition take off and I think that’s been brought about by the AFL Women’s League which has had huge success this year”

Junior AFL has grown significantly in 2017, with more than 120 teams to take the field across Canberra and the surrounding regions when the competition commences on Saturday 29th April. This includes a new Under 10’s and Under 12’s Girls Age Group as well as an Under 16’s Boys competition.
